Manchester United are ready to reignite their interest in Argentina international Ever Banega this summer, according to ITA Sport Press.

The 13-time Premier League champions, who were pinned back to a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea on Sunday after Diego Costa’s 91st minute equaliser, were linked with moves for the Sevilla midfielder during the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old, who has 38 international caps for his country, has impressively scored six and assisted four goals in 25 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga outfit so far this season.

The report suggests that the Red Devils could offer Bangea a whopping £3.5m-a-year contract in a bid to lure the Argentinian to Old Trafford this summer.

Serie A giants Inter Milan are also quoted as rivalling potential suitors for Louis van Gaal’s side, but the Italians are only thought to be willing to stump up £2.7m-a-year for the central midfielder’s services at the end of the current 2015-16 campaign.

Banega will become a free agent this summer as his current deal at Sevilla is due to expire in June.
