Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a £30million move for Sevilla midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, according to the Sun.

The Red Devils’ top target in that position had been Benfica’s Renato Sanches, but with the 18-year-old opting to join Bayern Munich instead, they have turned their attentions to the Poland international.

Despite the news that Louis van Gaal is set to be replaced by former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho early this week despite lifting the FA Cup on Saturday, United are looking to strengthen in the middle of the park with Michael Carrick set to leave Old Trafford in the summer following the expiry of his contract, Bastian Schweinsteiger another year older and doubts as to whether Morgan Schneiderlin is a long-term solution there.

Krychowiak, who has also interested Premier League rivals Arsenal in the past, helped Sevilla win their third successive Europa League title against Liverpool on Wednesday night.
