Manchester United are reportedly willing to cough up £24m this summer in their bid to land Italy international Alessandro Florenzi, according to TuttoMercatoWeb (via TalkSport).

The 13-time Premier League champions, who currently sit sixth in the league standings and face English top-flight rivals Liverpool in their UEFA Europa League last-16 second-leg tie at Old Trafford on Thursday night, are interested in signing the AS Roma full-back.

The 25-year-old; who has 13 international caps for his country and is expected to feature for Italy at the Euro 2016 Championships later this year, has chipped in with seven goals and provided three assists in 34 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Florenzi; who can play at either right full-back or as a right winger, has been with Italian club Roma since 2002, but the report suggests that Louis van Gaal’s Red Devils are ready to splash out £24m in a bid to try and lure him to Old Trafford come the conclusion of the current 2015-16 campaign.
