Manchester United have reportedly rejected a £13m offer from West Bromwich Albion for France international Morgan Schneiderlin, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Premier League side, who took on newly promoted Middlesbrough at Old Trafford this afternoon, are set to receive interest in the out-of-favour central midfielder during the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old, who has 15 international caps for his country, has made just eight first-team appearances for The Red Devils so far this season.

Schneiderlin, who arrived at The Theatre of Dreams from Premier League rivals Southampton back in July 2015 following his reported £24m move, is attracting interest from West Brom and Everton in the New Year market.

The report suggests United have already turned down an £13m bid from the Baggies, with manager Jose Mourinho insisting Tony Pulis’ side will need to increase their offer if they want to lure the Frenchman to The Hawthorns next month – ahead of fellow potential suitors Everton too.
