Manchester United are yet to complete a signing during the current transfer window despite being linked with a number of players.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, while Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is also said to be of interest, but the Manchester outfit are yet to complete a deal.

Now, though, it appears that United are still on the hunt for a new striker, and a Serie A star remains one of their top targets.

As per 90min, the Red Devils remain hopeful of agreeing a deal with Atalanta for forward Rasmus Hojlund.

The Danish striker has been in fine form for the Italian club over the past year, having joined Atalanta from Austrian side Sturm Graz last summer.

Hojlund, 20, scored 10 goals in 34 games across all competitions during his first season in Italy, as well as providing four assists.

Hojlund is said to be a target for Manchester United

United boss Erik ten Hag has turned his attention to adding a quality striker to his squad, the report claims, and Hojlund is perceived as a cheaper alternative to the likes of Kane and Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

The Danish player has also scored six goals in five matches for his country, having made his senior debut back in September last year.

Despite United’s interest in Hojlund, the report claims that the two sides are quite far apart in their valuations of the player, with Atalanta demanding around £69 million for the attacker, while United are reluctant to pay more than £50 million.

United lost forward Cristiano Ronaldo in November last year and haven’t yet replaced the Portugal international.

Netherlands international Wout Weghorst joined the club on loan from Burnley in January but failed to score a Premier League goal during his time at Old Trafford and is now expected to return to Turf Moor.
