Despite being eliminated from the Champions League at the group stage, Manchester United are enjoying a successful 2020/21 season having won six of their last seven Premier League matches.

Not the best defensively and sometimes unpredictable, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have also been electrifying at times, scoring 28 times in 13 top-flight matches.

Now with the January transfer window closing in, the rumour mill has kick-started again, linking the Red Devils with moves for various players who could potentially help them challenge for trophies.

Solskjaer will be enjoying what he’s seeing from his team in the Premier League this season.

One of those targets, according to the Daily Record, is Independiente del Valle’s Moises Caicedo.

The 19-year-old midfielder is already a full Ecuador international having impressed for his club side.

Reportedly valued at around €6million (with a 20% sell-on clause) – it’s also said that West Ham United have also shown an interest in the talented teenager.

Operating mainly as a central midfielder, Caicedo would provide competition to the likes of Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba, Fred and Nemanja Matic for a spot in the middle of the park if he were to make the switch to Old Trafford.
