Manchester United are currently scouting Arsenal target and Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The 13-time Premier League champions, who climbed up to fifth spot in the English top-flight standings after defeating Everton 1-0 on Sunday at Old Trafford, watched Borussia Dortmund’s star striker net in their 3-2 victory over Werder Bremen on the Saturday.
The 26-year-old, who has 47 international caps for his country, has scored a remarkable 36 goals in 41 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga outfit so far this season.
Aubameyang, who has been a long-term target for Premier League rivals Arsenal, is thought to be rated at around £65m according to the report.
Despite there being serious doubt over manager Louis van Gaal’s future at Old Trafford, it seems the Red Devils are still keen to beat the Gunners to the Gabon forward’s signature should he be tempted to leave Germany once the 2015-16 campaign concludes.
