Manchester United are reportedly ready to hand Spain international star Ander Herrera a new deal, according to The Sun.
The Premier League side, who were pinned back to a 1-1 draw at home to AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, are set to give the central midfielder a one-year extension, a clause The Red Devils can activate in Herrera’s contract, which currently runs until June 2018.
The 27-year-old, who made his international debut against England at Wembley Stadium back in November, has scored one goal and provided eight assists in 35 appearances in all competitions for United so far this season.
Herrera, who arrived at Old Trafford back in June 2014 from La Liga outfit Athletic Bilbao, has scored 14 goals in 113 games overall for The Red Devils.
The Spaniard, who has impressed manager Jose Mourinho this term, has lifted the FA Cup, EFL Cup and the FA Community Shield since arriving at The Theatre of Dreams.
