Manchester United should snap up these 2 Arsenal stars this summer

Manchester United finish their frustrating Premier League season at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday, although Wednesday night’s Europa League final is their main focus.

Jose Mourinho’s men will finish sixth in the division regardless of their result against Sam Allardyce’s side as well as other results on Sunday, which represents a disappointing first campaign in charge for former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Mourinho.

However, he has led the side to the League Cup title as well as a Europa League final, and with their clash with Ajax in the showpiece to come on Wednesday, you’d expect the Portuguese to make several changes to his side against the Eagles on Sunday.

Nonetheless, victory on Wednesday would seal United’s place in next season’s Champions League, which would give them a much-needed boost going into next term, where they will quite simply have to be better in the Premier League if they are to mount a serious title challenge.

And one thing Mourinho may do this summer is raid some of their rivals for potential signings, and one club they may look at, having had success in the past, is Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal.

Thus, here are TWO Gunners stars United must try and land this summer…

Mesut Ozil

He has worked and flourished under Mourinho before, and there has been speculation this season that Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil may well reunite with his old boss at United this summer.

That’s because the German World Cup winner has yet to agree a new deal at the Emirates Stadium, and with his current one set to expire next summer, the North London outfit may be forced into selling him this summer should interest become concrete.

And United are one side who should look to make a bid, as although Ozil is often criticised, he has still had a good season at Arsenal.

The 28-year-old has bagged eight goals and laid on eight assists in the Premier League this term, and with United crying out for some more creativity in their side, Mourinho should look to snap Ozil up this summer.

Alexis Sanchez

Man United legend Ryan Giggs said earlier this week that his former club should move for Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, and there’s absolutely no reason why they shouldn’t.

Like Ozil, the Chile international has yet to agree a new contract at the North London club, and there have been signs of frustration from the 28-year-old this term, most notably after the Bournemouth game.

And Sanchez has admitted in recent days his irritation at their inability to fight for the title since his move there from Barcelona in 2014, and given that he reportedly had a bust-up back in March with some of his teammates on the training ground, you sense things aren’t all that well at the Emirates.

And Mourinho’s United should take advantage of this, as Sanchez has proven once again to be one of the best players in the Premier League with 23 goals and ten assists this term.
