Timothy Fosu-Mensah has reportedly agreed a new four-year contract with Manchester United, according to ESPN FC.

The Premier League side, who currently sit sixth in the top-flight standings following their recent 1-1 draw at home to Stoke City at Old Trafford, are poised to announce that the highly-rated full-back has extended his current deal with the Red Devils.

The 18-year-old, who is a Netherlands Under-19 international, has made 14 first-team appearances for United since making his debut against Arsenal back in February after replacing Marcos Rojo as a second-half substitute in his side’s 3-2 win.

The report suggests that the contract is expected to be finalised after the international break, which concludes later this week.

Despite featuring just twice under new manager Jose Mourinho at the Old Trafford outfit so far this term – versus Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League and against Northampton Town in the EFL Cup – he is thought to be highly-regarded by the ‘Special One’.

Fosu-Mensah’s current deal was due to expire next summer.
