Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is a ‘top target’ for Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, according to French media.

As per Footmercato, the France international has emerged as one of PSG’s highest priority signings for the summer, when his contract with United is set to expire.

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with an Old Trafford exit ever since returning to United in 2016 for a fee of almost £95 million, but it appears his second stint in Manchester is now coming to an end.

Having reportedly been unhappy during both Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s respective reigns in charge of the Red Devils, the arrival of Ralf Rangnick earlier this season seems to have done little to appease Pogba’s unhappiness.

Pogba looks increasingly likely to leave United this summer

The Frenchman has been linked with a number of clubs in recent months, including Real Madrid and former side Juventus, but PSG have now emerged as one of the player’s most likely destinations.

Despite having less than three months remaining on his current United contract, speculation surrounding Pogba’s future seems to have cooled in recent weeks.

The 2018 World Cup winner has made more than 230 appearances for the Red Devils, and was part of the side that won the League Cup and Europa League in 2017.

He has scored 39 goals and provided 51 assists for the club, but has scored just once in all competitions so far this term.
