Manchester United travel to London to face fellow strugglers Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, one place above Spurs, with both sides looking likely to miss out on qualification for European competition next term.

Sunday’s match in the capital could prove pivotal for both managers, with Ange Postecoglou and Ruben Amorim both under immense pressure amid their respective sides’ poor form.

Off the pitch, though, it appears that one of United’s most experienced players will be staying put at Old Trafford at least until the end of the current campaign.

According to United in Focus, veteran midfielder Casemiro is not likely to leave United before the end of the season despite interest from clubs in his native Brazil.

Casemiro is set to stay put at Old Trafford until the end of the season

Casemiro, 32, joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid in 2022 and has since made more than 100 appearances for the Manchester side across all competitions, including 24 this term.

The Brazilian has featured in the Premier League in 2025, though, and that had prompted speculation that he may leave United with the transfer window still open in certain countries including his homeland.

Corinthians had expressed an interest in signing the central midfielder, the report claims, but his staggering £350,000-per-week wages mean that a loan move away from Old Trafford is extremely unlikely.

Casemiro is therefore expected to stay put in Manchester until the end of the season, despite featuring in just four of Amorim’s 13 Premier League matches in charge of United.

While his contract doesn’t expire until the end of next season, it remains to be seen whether or not he will remain with the club beyond the end of the current campaign.
