Manchester United have agreed a fee with Inter Milan for the sale of Romelu Lukaku, according to reports.

The striker signed for the Red Devils from Everton for an initial £75million in 2017 and he has since scored 42 goals in 96 matches for the club.

But the Mail Online report that the Belgium star has arrived in Italy for a medical after Inter reached an agreement with United.

Lukaku is Belgium’s all-time leading scorer with 48 goals in 81 games.

It’s claimed the Serie A outfit will pay £72million, including £12million in bonuses for the 26-year-old who’s been a top target since ex-Chelsea boss Antonio Conte took charge at the San Siro at the end of last season.

Lukaku scored 27 goals in his first campaign at Old Trafford but after finding himself in and out the team last term, there’s been speculation all the summer that the forward could be heading for the exit door.

And after trying to force a transfer this week by training with former club Anderlecht without Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s permission, it’s claimed he was fined two weeks’ wages – around £400,000.

A move to Italy would end his career in England for now which has seen him score 146 goals playing for with Chelsea, West Bromwich Albion, Everton and United.
