Manchester United submit a huge £89million bid for Barcelona winger Ansu Fati, according to Sport, a Spanish-based news outlet.

The fee reported is approximately €100million, which would be a huge fee for Fati, who is still only 17-years-old, and doesn’t turn 18 until October.

Despite his young age, the pacey wide man has made a big impression at the Camp Nou this season, having come through Barca’s world-famous ‘La Masia’ Academy.

United Chief Executive Ed Woodward will be under pressure to bring players to the club.

Fati was born in Guinea-Bissau but has already made international appearances for Spain U21, having spent the majority of his footballing life in the European country.

United themselves must be impressed with the Barca winger, who has made an impressive 24 appearances this season, having made his La Liga debut in August of last year.

It might be a difficult transfer for United to pursue, with the Catalan giants seeing Fati as a big part of their future.
