Manchester United have reportedly been handed an encouraging boost in their pursuit of Spain international Isco, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The Premier League side, who currently sit sixth in the English top-flight standings after drawing 1-1 with Stoke City last time out, have been continually linked with a move for the Real Madrid midfielder.

The 24-year-old, who has 14 international caps for his country, has been restricted to five first-team appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants so far this season.

However Isco, who arrived at the Bernabeu from Spanish rivals Malaga back in 2013, has recently admitted that he may consider leaving Zinedine Zidane’s outfit unless he gets more game time.

He said, “If I’ve still only made a few appearances by the end of the season, I’ll look elsewhere.

“At 24 years of age I have to right to better myself.”

Isco has won two Champions League crowns with Real Madrid (2014 and 2016).
