Manchester United are reportedly ready to test their luck at recruiting Brazil international defender Miranda this summer, according to Fichajes (via the Daily Star).

The Premier League giants, who currently lie sixth in the standings, despite defeating arch rivals Manchester City 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium last weekend, have been linked with a move for the Inter Milan centre-half once the current 2015-16 campaign concludes.

The 31-year-old, who has 27 international caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided three assists in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit so far this season.

Miranda; who only arrived at the San Siro back in June 2015 on a two-year loan deal from Spanish side Atletico Madrid, but with an obligation to buy the player outright, is wanted at Old Trafford next term following what looks to be a major overhaul at Old Trafford this summer, with the report suggesting that the Red Devils after ready to blow a £300m budget on player recruitment.
