Manchester United look set to be busy during the upcoming summer transfer window, with several players being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

A number of big names from across Europe have been linked with The Red Devils, while certain current players are also in line to depart.

The likes of Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof could depart at the end of the current campaign having fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Now, it appears that fellow defender Brandon Williams could also be on his way out of the club.

As per Football Insider, United are set to accept an ‘exceptional’ offer for the full-back, who is said to have attracted interest from a number of clubs.

Williams, 22, made his debut for United back in 2019, has struggled for opportunities in the first team at Old Trafford this season.

Williams spent last season on loan at Norwich City

The full-back missed several months with an injury, limiting him to just one senior appearances so far this term, during a League Cup tie against Burnley in December.

It is claimed that a number of unnamed Championship sides are pushing to sign Williams, who spent much of last season on loan at Norwich City.

During his time at Carrow Road, the defender made 29 appearances across all competitions.

He returned to his parent club at the start of this season, but his development hasn’t quite gone to plan over the past eight months.

The player’s current contract is set to run until 2024 but also includes the option for a further 12 months.

With that in mind, United are said to be willing to loan the ex-England under-21 international out next season in a bid to reignite his career.

In total, Williams has made 51 appearances for Manchester United across all competitions, scoring once and providing three assists.
