Brazilian midfielder Fred, as been a disappointment since his arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk in the summer of 2018 for £50million.

Despite showing glimpses of what he can bring to the Red Devils, the 26-year-old has not performed at a consistent level and has not managed to hold down a regular place in the starting 11.

Now reports from Europe suggest manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be willing to let Fred leave Old Trafford on either a permanent or loan basis.

Denis Zakaria has caught the eye for Borussia Mönchengladbach this campaign.

Possible replacement signings have also been touted, with talented Switzerland international Denis Zakaria being mentioned by Bild.
