Manchester United are plotting an offer for Lyon striker Moussa Dembele, according to reports.

The 23-year-old has scored 15 goals in all competitions this season for the Ligue 1 club, which has said to have attracted interest from elsewhere.

Following the news that Marcus Rashford could be out for up to three months, FootMercato report that United have identified the Frenchman as a top target.

Rashford sustained a stress fracture in United’s FA Cup replay win over Wolves.

With Rashford sidelined, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has just Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as his only natural strikers to choose from.

This is thought to have had the Red Devils keeping a close watch on Dembele and it’s claimed they are now set to offer £43million for the ex-Fulham man .

However, it’s unclear if Lyon would accept that bid for their star man, who has also been linked with Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

Dembele returned to his homeland in the summer of 2018 after a prolific spell with Celtic where he netted 51 times in 94 matches.
