Manchester United are to make an offer to Everton for goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, according to The Sun.

David de Gea is out of contract at the end of the season and although the Red Devils have the option to trigger a 12-month extension the Spaniard looks as if he won’t commit his long-term future to the club.

Italian champions Juventus are thought to be keen on the 28-year-old and could wait until 2020 to secure him on a free transfer.

This has forced the Old Trafford club to look at potential replacements which has led them to target the England number 1.

David de Gea could be on his way out of Old Trafford.

Boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly an admirer of the 24-year-old who has excelled for the Three Lions since being made first-choice just before the 2018 World Cup.

The Toffees stopper only signed a new six-year deal with the Merseyside club in the summer meaning United would have to bid around £60million to have a chance of taking him away from Goodison Park.

Pickford, who was between the sticks on Sunday as England beat Croatia 2-1 to reach the Nations League finals, has played 58 times for Everton since signing from Sunderland in 2017.
