Manchester United are set to make a third move to sign Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsey, according to the Mirror.

The 27-year-old will leave the Emirates next summer on a free when his contract expires after failing to agree a new deal.

That has alerted the Red Devils who lost out to the Gunners in the race to snap up the Welshman from Cardiff City in 2008.

It is also understood that the Old Trafford club enquired about the midfielder’s availability during the last transfer window.

Ramsey was in negotiations over a fresh £185,000 per-week deal but the north London side withdrew their offer with boss Unai Emery opting to use the money towards his own targets.

The Caerphilly-born star, who has also been linked with Liverpool and a number of European clubs, has scored 59 goals in 338 games for Arsenal.
