Manchester United are plotting a swoop for Inter Milan’s Matias Vecino, according to reports.

The 28-year-old has made 14 appearances in Serie A this term for the club he joined from Fiorentina back in 2017.

However, Sky Sport Italia report that United want to bring the Uruguay international to Old Trafford and are talking to Inter about a potential deal.

The Red Devils are keen to bolster their midfield and with their move for Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes currently on hold, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is having to look elsewhere.

Solskjaer is eyeing January reinforcements.

Vecino wasn’t in Inter’s matchday squad for their 1-1 draw at Lecce on Sunday which leaves Antonio Conte’s side four points adrift of leaders Juventus.

And it’s claimed the South American will be allowed to move on from the San Siro if the Italians sign Christian Eriksen from Tottenham Hotspur.
