Despite an underwhelming start to the season, Manchester United boast the best form in the Premier League over the past five games.

The Red Devils have won four of their last five games, most recently when running out 1-0 winners over newly promoted Luton Town at Old Trafford.

That run of form has moved Erik ten hag’s side up to sixth in the top flight table, however United do still sit seven points behind rivals and league leaders Manchester City.

When the Premier League returns after the international break, Ten Hag’s side will travel to Merseyside to face Everton, who have also improved of late.

In the meantime, it appears that those in charge of the club have made a decision on the future of one of the club’s most expensive players.

Antony has endured a difficult season so far

As per Football Insider, United will reject any interest in winger Antony despite the player being heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

The report claims that Ten Hag remains a huge fan of Antony, having signed the player from former club Ajax, and the Dutchman will therefore block any potential exit.

Antony joined United from Ajax last summer for a fee of around £85 million, but has struggled since arriving in Manchester.

He has played 56 times across all competitions so far, scoring eight goals and providing three assists.

This season the 15-time Brazil international has failed to register a single goal or assist, but United plan to keep hold of him for the remainder of the season as Ten Hag currently has a lack of attacking options available to him.

Fellow winger Jadon Sancho continues to be exiled from the first team squad following a fallout with Ten Hag, while Marcus Rashford has also been in poor form of late.
