Manchester United will reportedly wrap up a deal to sign Sweden international defender Victor Lindelof on Tuesday, according to The Sun.

The Premier League side, who finished sixth in the English top-flight this campaign, although they have qualified for the UEFA Champions League after defeating Ajax in the 2017 UEFA Europa League final, have been continuously linked with a move for the Benfica centre-half throughout the entire 2016-17 term.

The 22-year-old, who has 12 international caps for his country, scored one goal in 47 appearances in all competitions for the Primeira Liga champions this season.

Lindelof, who played the full 90 minutes in Sweden’s last-gasp 2-1 victory over France in their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Friday night, will put pen to paper on a five-year contract with The Red Devils.

The report suggests the Swedish star will setback Jose Mourinho’s side around £35m, with the deal expected to go through following his next international outing against Norway on Tuesday, meaning a medical is set-up on Wednesday.
