Manchester United will be looking to bank another three points when they face Manchester United on Saturday evening.

Erik Ten Hag’s side have won their last three successive Premier League games as they try to amend their very sluggish start to the season.

The Red Devils currently sit in sixth place in the table with 24 points, one place above the Magpies.

However, the Toon will provide a tough test for the Manchester side, as they beat them 3-0 in the round of 16 of the Carabao Cup earlier in the season.

In their last Premier League fixture, Newcastle were 4-1 victors when they welcomed Chelsea to St James’ Park, and they will be hoping to replicate that against ten Hag’s side.

The Red Devils will focus on identifying targets to chase in January in an attempt to bolster their squad.

However,  it seems United are undecided on whether or not to extend the stay of one of their loan players.

Amrabat isn’t likely to stay in Manchester if he continues to play a bit-part role

According to Football Insider, United are uncertain on whether they should trigger the buy option for loanee Sofyan Amrabat.

The report claims that United are unlikely to purchase the midfielder if he continues to struggle to break into the starting eleven.

Amrabat, 27, joined the Red Devils on loan from Fiorentina in the summer for a reported loan fee of around £8.5 million.

United reportedly have the option to buy the midfielder permanently for around an extra £21.4 million.

The Morocco international caught the club’s eye after impressive performances for Fiorentina in Serie A and Morocco in the 2022 World Cup.

However, since joining the Manchester outfit, Amrabat the Moroccan has made 12 appearances this term in all competitions.

United could look elsewhere in January or next summer to improve their midfield options.
