Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Germany international star Toni Kroos, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who have already signed Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton in a deal worth an initial £75m this summer, have been freshly linked with a move for the Real Madrid midfielder, as part of any potential deal for Red Devils goalkeeper David De Gea.

The 27-year-old, who has 76 international caps for his country and for whom he lifted the 2014 FIFA World Cup with, scored four goals and provided 17 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga champions last season.

With Madrid continually trying to lure United shot stopper De Gea to the capital, given their latest £50m offer, the report suggests that manager Jose Mourinho wants the German gem as part of any possible deal for the ‘keeper.
