Manchester United have been told by Bayern Munich that forward Thomas Muller is not for sale at any price.
The Red Devils have been linked with a massive £60 million bid for the Germany star and are thought to be continuing to track his progress.
But the Bundesliga champions’ chairman, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, has told reporters that the 26-year-old, who has 11 goals in 10 games this term, will not be leaving the Allianz Arena.
“Muller will stay at Bayern, regardless of what any club offers,” he said.
“There is no amount that would make us consider an offer.
“Messi belongs to Barcelona, Rooney belongs to Manchester United and Muller belongs to Bayern. It should stay like that.”
