Manchester United are reportedly considering a summer bid for Brazil international forward Douglas Costa, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who defeated Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend to reach the semi-finals of the FA Cup, have been linked with a £40m summer swoop for the FC Bayern Munich winger.

The 27-year-old, who has 23 international caps for his country, has scored three goals and provided seven assists in 35 appearances in all competitions whilst on loan at Serie A champions Juventus so far this season.

Costa, who joined the Italian club from German giants Bayern in July on a season-long loan deal, has netted 14 goals in 77 games overall for Munich since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk back in July 2015.

The report claims United are keeping close tabs on left winger Costa, with Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho understood to have asked the club’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, about the possibility of making an offer for the Samba star this summer.

Costa has scored 57 career goals for Juventus, Bayern, Shakhtar and Gremio overall.
