Manchester United are reportedly weighing up a £65m offer for England international defender Harry Maguire, according to the Daily Mail.

The Premier League side, who have signed defender Diogo Dalot (FC Porto), midfielder Fred (Shakhtar Donetsk) and goalkeeper Lee Grant (Stoke City) so far this transfer window, have also been heavily linked with luring the Leicester City centre-back to Old Trafford this summer.

The 25-year-old, who has 12 international caps for the Three Lions, scored two goals in 44 appearances in all competitions for The Foxes last season.

Maguire, who only arrived at the King Power Stadium last June 2017 in a deal worth up to £17m following his move from Hull City, starred for England at this summer’s FIFA World Cup finals in Russia, playing every game as Gareth Southgate’s men finished fourth at the tournament.

However, the report claims United have a keen interest in attempting to land the former Sheffield United star, and Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho is weighing up a £65m bid ahead of the close of the summer transfer window on August 9.

But, they may have to offload either fellow defender Marcos Rojo, Eric Bailly or Chris Smalling to make room for the Three Lions centre-back.

Maguire is contracted at Leicester until June 2022.
