Manchester United young star Mason Greenwood is told he is already ahead of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford, as ex-United player Gary Neville told SkySports

Since the return of football, Manchester United have been in breathtaking form and are the first club to win three Premier League games in a row by a three-goal margin.

They are starting to blow teams away again, very similar to their glory days under Sir Alex Ferguson, putting in consistent performances that United fans haven’t seen for a long time.

A big part of the surge in form has been the performances of 18-year-old Mason Greenwood, who has four goals in his last three games, all of which have been fantastic finishes.

Anthony Martial has also been amongst the goals recently.

There have been big calls from pundits for Greenwood to be included in the next England squad and a lot of excitement around, discussing how far the youngster will go.

Ex United right back Gary Neville, believes the United academy product is already ahead of team mates Rashford and Martial.

Neville said: “I think Greenwood will develop into a central striker naturally over time. There will come a time when he will step up, he’s stepping up game by game now.

“He is outstanding, his talent is incredible. He has everything, the composure, the receiving of the ball, the awareness, the finishing ability.

“You look at Martial, Rashford and Greenwood and think who you would put your money on to finish from all areas of the field. Inside the box, outside the box, left foot, right foot – it would be Greenwood. He’s 18 and that is the exciting part.”
