At this stage of the season, Manchester United fans would have been hoping for more than just five Premier League wins under new manager Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese took over from sacked Louis van Gaal in the summer, and expectations were high that the former Chelsea manager could bring the good times back to Old Trafford after a frustrating few years since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement.
However, it’s been a bit of struggle so far, as United have won just five of their opening 11 league games, and are looking likely to miss out on qualifying from their Europa League group.
Defeats to Manchester City and Chelsea have questioned United’s title credentials, and frustrating draws at home to Stoke and Burnley have suggested that they are still lacking something.
Nevertheless, there have been a few decent performances from Mourinho’s men, and their 3-1 win away at Swansea last weekend will go some way to increasing the confidence in the camp.
