A few eyebrows were raised when United spent £30 million on Eric Bailly in the summer, but the Ivorian has been a revelation at the back.

The 22-year-old has been very impressive and has adapted well to life in England, and looks set to be a feature in the heart of the United defence for years to come.

He wasn’t at his best against Chelsea the other week, a reminder that he’s still young and got a lot to learn, and an unfortunate injury could rule him out for some time, but the signs are there that Bailly could become a top-quality defender.
