Manchester United are reportedly targeting a move for Netherlands Under-21 international star Justin Kluivert, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League side, who defeated rivals Liverpool 2-1 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon, have been linked with the highly rated Ajax winger ahead of the summer transfer window.

The 18-year-old, who has featured twice for the Netherlands’ Under-21 side, has scored seven goals and provided four assists in 28 appearances in all competitions for the Eredivisie giants so far this season.

Kluivert, who is the son of Dutch legendary striker Patrick Kluivert, has netted nine goals and registered nine assists in 48 first-team outings for the club overall, having made his debut against PEC Zwolle last January.

The report suggests United’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, is working on a deal to lure the talented Dutchman to Old Trafford, with defender Daley Blind used as a potential makeweight in any transfer.

Red Devils manager Jose Mourinho would be willing to offload left-back Blind, 28, back to Ajax, after his arrival from the Johan Cruyff Arena back in September 2014.

Blind has scored six goals in 139 outings for United in all competitions, but has only started three Premier League fixtures under boss Mourinho this campaign.
