Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard set to be dropped due to his inability to follow simple instructions, according to The Sun

England international Lingard is currently experiencing a torrid time on the pitch, failing to provide a goal or a single assist for his cub this term.

Manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stuck by his man, but it seems his patience is running out and he is set to drop the 27-year-old when United face Norwich on Saturday.

Assistant manager Mike Phelan is said to be very frustrated with Lingard.

The attacking midfielder put in another below par performance in the Manchester Derby on Tuesday night, resulting in being substituted at half time.

It’s not just the manager who is losing faith in Lingard, with many Man United fans growing frustrated with his lack of contribution in games.
