Helping himself to two goals and an assist in May, the Frenchman claims Shoot’s award as the Red Devils’ best performer for the past month.

With qualifying for the Champions League still very much a possibility at the start of the month, United kicked off with a vital 1-0 win away at Norwich – Martial was heavily involved that afternoon.

Set to be a vital part of France’s Euro 2016 side, Martial added another two goals to his tally when United were involved in a thrilling 3-2 defeat against West Ham in the final at Upton Park – the result that all but ended their top four hopes.

The Frenchman ended his debut campaign in the Premier League with 11 goals, and he grabbed his fourth assist of the season in the Louis van Gaal’s men’s 3-1 home win over Bournemouth in their final game of the season on Tuesday night.
