Manchester United’s promising youngster Angel Gomes could quit the club due to Ed Woodward’s transfer plans, according to Manchester Evening News.

Now at 19 years of age, Gomes will be disappointed with the lack of regular first team senior football he has managed to get at Old Trafford.

The young attacker made his debut for the Red Devils back in May 2017 coming on as an 88th minute sub for Wayne Rooney in the Premier League, under then manager Jose Mourinho.

United Chief Executive Ed Woodward will be under pressure to bring players to the club this summer.

Fast forward three years and the England U-20 international has only made another four appearances for United, making five in total.

Now, the Manchester Evening News are reporting that Gomes could be on his way out of the club given the transfer links to Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho, Birmingham youngster Jude Bellingham and Aston Villa star Jack Grealish.

Gomes’ contract is up this summer and will need to make a decision with other Premier League clubs interested in the young player.
