The 25-year-old Spanish shot stopper retains his reputation as the club’s highest rated player on FIFA, earning a three rating increase following the 2015/16 campaign.

De Gea, who has kept two clean sheets in four appearances in all competitions so far this term, was instrumental during last year’s underwhelming season under former boss Louis van Gaal – saving his team-mates blushes on multiple occasions with numerous world-class saves as the Red Devils missed out on Champions League football after finishing fifth in the top-flight.
