Marseille are considering a move for Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno, according to L’Équipe – reported by French football writer, Jeremy Smith on Twitter.

The French side are in need of a left-back after Patrice Evra left the club by mutual consent in November, leaving Jordan Amavi as their only player in that position.

This has caused interest in the Reds player who has struggled to get in the first-team since Andrew Robertson took his chance last season.

In an interview with Spanish radio, Moreno said, “I do not feel good. That is the truth.

“I hurt myself giving everything for this team. And I think that when I came back from injury, I deserved an opportunity.”

The 26-year-old continued by saying, “The situation is normal for a lot of players. But simply I did not like the way he (Jurgen Klopp) has treated me. You can say that.”

There have been many rumours in regards to the former Sevilla star’s future as he has just six months left to run on his contract.

He is now free to talk to foreign clubs and Marseille could reportedly be looking to do that and secure him on a free transfer in the summer.

Moreno has played in just two of Liverpool’s 20 Premier League games this season and has made just one substitute appearance.
