Manchester United is one of just three clubs Mesut Ozil would leave Arsenal for, according to Manchester Evening News.
The Premier League side, who suffered a shock 2-1 defeat away to newly promoted Huddersfield Town at the weekend, have been continuously linked with a move for the wantaway Gunners midfielder, with his current deal at the Emirates Stadium set to expire at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
The 29-year-old, who has 86 international caps for his country, has scored one goal and provided one assist in seven league outings for Arsenal so far this season.
Ozil, who arrived in North London back in 2013 following his then club-record £42.5m switch from La Liga giants Real Madrid, is refusing to commit his long-term future to the club, with the central midfielder wanting a 30 per cent pay rise, which would see him earn a whopping £202,000-a-week.
The report suggests the German would be willing to depart the Emirates next summer for just three clubs – Premier League rivals United, former club Madrid and Spanish rivals FC Barcelona.
Ozil has scored 33 goals in 168 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal overall, winning three FA Cups and an FA Community Shield.
