Middlesbrough are reportedly lining up a loan move for out-of-favour Leicester City right-back Ritchie De Laet, according to Transfer Centre Live.

Foxes manager Claudio Ranieri has largely preferred to play Danny Simpson over the 27-year-old this season, with the Belgian making just 10 appearances in all competitions this term.

That has caught the attention of Boro, who are looking to strengthen their squad as they aim for promotion to the Premier League at the end of the current campaign.

Aitor Karanka’s side are currently second in the Championship table, one point behind Hull City at the summit.
