Chelsea will hope to make it two wins from two Premier League away games when they travel to face Bournemouth on Saturday.

The Blues produced a remarkable display to beat Wolves 6-2 at Molineux in their first away league game of the season, and head coach Enzo Maresca will be hoping to see a similar display on the south coast.

Maresca has had to deal with plenty of talk over the summer about the futures of a number of his players, including the likes of Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka.

Both were told that they weren’t part of the Italian’s plans but, having failed to secure moves away during the transfer window, the duo now face extremely uncertain futures.

Another player that remains in limbo is Cesare Casadei, with Football Insider claiming that the midfielder has become the latest Blues player to be told he isn’t part of Maresca’s plans.

Several players, including Chilwell, have been frozen out of Maresca’s squad

The report claims that the 21-year-old has been frozen out of Maresca’s squad, along with several other stars who have been training away from the first team.

Casadei joined the Blues from Italian outfit Inter Milan in the summer of 2022, when Chelsea’s new American owners were spending vast sums of money.

The central midfielder has since played just 11 times for the Blues, as well as spending time on loan at both Reading and Leicester City.

Casadei, an Italy youth international, scored three times in 25 games for the Foxes last season and helped them return to the top flight under now-Chelsea boss Maresca.

He is contracted to the West London side until the end of the 2027/28 campaign, but this latest development has thrown his Stamford Bridge future into doubt.

Maresca has plenty of central midfielders to choose from at present, including Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo who each cost in excess of £100 million.
