Everton host Leicester City on Wednesday in a potentially crucial match at the bottom end of the table.

The Toffees’ situation remains precarious, despite victory over Manchester United last weekend, with just three points separating them from the relegation places.

Manager Frank Lampard has won just three of his 10 Premier League games in charge of the club, and faces huge pressure to guide them to safety in the last eight games and avoid seeing Everton relegated for the first time in Premier League history.

Now, though, the former Chelsea midfielder has been dealt another big blow, with the news that forward Richarlison is keen on a move away from the club.

According to Football Insider, the Brazilian has instructed his agent to find him a new club, following crunch talks with the club in recent weeks.

Richarlison is keen to cut short his time at Goodison Park

The 24-year-old, who joined the club from Watford four years ago, has two years remaining on his current deal, but is believed to be intent on securing a move to a club competing in the Champions League.

The Brazil international has made up his mind according to the report, and is determined to leave the club regardless of whether or not they avoid the drop.

He has 49 goals and 13 assists in 145 games for Everton, including seven goals and four assists this term, a tally that no other Everton player has bettered.

Manchester United are believed to be one of the clubs interested in the forward, although their chances of landing the ex-Hornets man could depend on whether or not they secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Everton forked out jut over £35 million for Richarlison when they signed him in 2018 and, given that his contract is due to expire in 2024, they may be forced to sell him this summer if they want to recoup a similar amount.
