Man United manager Jose Mourinho has been linked with a move for Real Madrid and Wales star, Gareth Bale, however a proposed new deal at the Spanish club has made that almost impossible.

The former Tottenham and Southampton star is reportedly set to land a new six-year-deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, worth a whopping £385k-a-week.

Firstly, the staggering salary is a tough one to match, however, there is another clause in the contract which will cause Mourinho nightmares.

Should he still want to land his target, the former Chelsea and Real manager will have to stump up an astounding £415m in order to match the 27-year-old’s reported new release clause.

The Welshman, who has been mooted as a target for the Red Devils for a few seasons now, has a remarkable record in Madrid, having scored 61 goals in 131 games for the Champions League winners.

Despite Mourinho showing that he is not afraid to splash the cash, having broken the record set by Los Blancos when they bought Bale to land Pogba, having to spend nearly five times that amount to sign the forward would more than likely be too much.
