Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is becoming increasingly confident that he will complete a deal for Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann in the summer, however looks set to axe another first team man, according to reports from the Independent.
The former Chelsea manager could be set to fork out another world-record fee to land the France international, breaking the £89m record set when he signed the forward’s compatriot Paul Pogba from Juventus last summer.
However, former Southampton man Luke Shaw’s days in Manchester seem numbered, with the report also claiming that he will be leaving come the summer window.
The Portuguese boss is supposedly frustrated at the lack of development shown by the England international, who missed the majority of last season with a long-term injury, since his arrival at Old Trafford
Since making the near £30m move from the south coast in 2014, Shaw has made 41 appearances for the Red Devils, registering just the two assists. However, the 21-year-old showed a remarkable run of form before his injury last term.
