Man United manager Jose Mourinho has given Red Devils duo Morgan Schneiderlin and Memphis Depay the go-ahead to leave Old Trafford in the January window, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
Both players, who were brought in under the guise of Louis Van Gaal, have fallen foul of Mourinho’s overhaul and have seen very little game time this season, without a Premier League start between them.
Premier League rivals, Everton, have been linked with a move for both in the January window and it appears that the former Chelsea boss is happy to let them make the switch to Goodison Park next month.
The Dutch manager stands in good stead to revive both player’s careers, having watched his compatriot Depay develop whilst the pair were both working in the Eredivisie, whilst France international Schneiderlin flourished under the former Barcelona defender during their time together at Southampton.
Koeman, who saw his side finally put an end to their woeful run with a 2-1 win over Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal side at Goodison Park on Tuesday night, is reportedly after five new additions in the winter window, meaning this United duo could be just the start.
