Manchester United host rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday (4pm kick-off) looking to record a seventh consecutive Premier League victory.

Jose Mourinho’s men beat Reading 4-0 in the third round of the FA Cup last weekend, before comfortably seeing off Hull 2-0 in the first league of their League Cup semi-final on Wednesday.

And, on top of six league wins and a League Cup quarter-final win over West Ham, United have won their last nine games in all competitions in what is their best run of form since the Sir Alex Ferguson days.

However, they’ll have to be at their best to extend that run against Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool on Sunday, as the Reds are currently second and five points clear of the Red Devils in the table.

Klopp’s side have stuttered at the start of 2017 though, drawing two and losing the other of their three games, yet they’ll see no better place than Old Trafford to register their first victory of the New Year.

In what is sure to be a thrilling encounter on Sunday, Mourinho may look to make a few changes to the side that beat Hull, so here are THREE Man United players who deserve a chance against Liverpool…
