Mourinho will be firmly focusing on Wednesday’s Europa League final against Ajax, but he’ll still likely give those on the fringes of the first team the chance to stake a claim for a final spot.

And that means that the versatile Dutchman Daley Blind could get an opportunity on Sunday against Palace.

The 27-year-old played the full 90 minutes in their defeat to Tottenham last weekend but was left out completely against Southampton on Wednesday, perhaps suggesting that he is in Mourinho’s plans for next week, or that he’ll play on Sunday, or both.

And, having not featured at St Mary’s, you’d expect Blind to return to the team on Sunday.
