Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon admits current Bhoys boss, Brendan Rodgers, faces an almighty task to escape the Nou Camp tonight with anything but a loss.

The 45-year-old, who is now in charge at Scottish Championship outfit Hibernian, feels Rodgers’ current crop of players aren’t as good as the team he guided to a majestic 2-1 victory over La Liga giants FC Barcelona in the Champions League group stages back in November 2012.

Ahead of Celtic’s European opener in Barcelona tonight; Lennon, who was speaking exclusively to BT Sport, said, “It is difficult for Brendan. I think he is only in the door like six or seven week, two months, it is not really his team yet.

“I don’t think that this Celtic team currently are as strong as the team that I had. Defensively he is not there yet.

“To go to the Nou Camp and get anything will be a major, major result, but I just don’t think it will happen.”

BT Sport is the only place to watch all four major football competitions in one place, with exclusively live coverage of the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, The Premier League and Emirates FA Cup. Watch Barcelona vs Celtic exclusively live on BT Sport 3 from 7pm tonight.
