Brighton and Hove Albion boss Graham Potter faces a nervy 24 hours on deadline day, as the Seagulls look to fend off interest in midfielder Yves Bissouma from a number of Premier League clubs.

As per Fabrice Hawkins, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are among the top flight clubs interested in the Malian midfielder.

Brighton are reportedly reluctant to let the player leave this month, although a fee of £37.5 million could reportedly be enough to persuade the south coast side to depart with him.

Taking to Twitter, Hawkins reported that Bissouma could potentially leave the club on Monday, with talks ongoing and believed to be ‘intense’.

Bissouma could make a shock deadline day move to another Premier League side

Bissouma has been a standout performer for Brighton since arriving from French side Lille in 2018.

The Malian, who has recently been on international duty with his country, has played more than 100 times for the Seagulls, and is regarded by many as one of the best holding midfielders in England.

The 25-year-old has been heavily linked with a number of clubs in recent windows, and he was the subject of intense speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool over the summer, although a move never materialised.

Potter will be extremely reluctant to lose the midfielder, who has become a pivotal component of his side of late, especially with such little time to replace him if he is sold.
