New Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta set to challenge North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur to signing of Norwich City full back Max Aarons, according to the Daily Mail

Arteta has been in the job for no more than a week, but has already established himself as a big hit with the Gunners fans. And his stock will rise even higher if he beats arch-rivals Tottenham to a January signing.

The Daily Mail have reported that the former Everton and Arsenal man, does not feel that fellow compatriot Hector Bellerin is the same player since injury his cruciate ligaments.

Hector Bellerin has a long way to go to capture the form before his major injury setback.

With the fear that their main right back will not perform to the levels needed, Arteta is urging his new employers to take action and sign Max Aarons from Norwich City.

Rumours suggest, 19-year-old Aarons could sign for another club for £30million, with a possible return to Norwich on loan for the rest of the season on the table.

It is just not the two North London clubs who are interested in the teenager with both Everton and West Ham United, also expressing their interest, in what’s sure to be a fascinating transfer saga for a promising young player.
